Let's Talk about Color Choices in Winter One
A few of you contacted me privately to talk about wanting a silver case, and expressed concern that we would not meet the silver stretch goal. At the time of writing this, around 200 Winter One cases have been ordered (some backers asked for multiple cases). We are only about 100 orders away from a silver case stretch goal!
If that goal is not met, the plan is to run two batches: one for Matte Black, and one for Matte Silver. The first batch (this kickstarter batch) will be Matte Black. The Second Batch, which will be submitted soon after the first batch, will include some more orders that I'm expecting in December. This batch will be Matte Silver, with deliveries happening in January or February.
Those of who backed this kickstarter, but want a silver case, will have the option of waiting until batch 2, to get your case. The discount you were able to get by backing the kickstarter will be locked in, and you will not have to pay any additional amount. However you will need to wait about a month longer to get your case.
After the Kickstarter ends, I will send out a survey confirming everyone's color choices. Doing two separate batches seems to be the best way to accommodate everyone who wants a Matte Silver case, while not delaying deliveries of the Matte Black Winter One.
If we pass the stretch goal in order to have a batch of black and silver at the same time, everyone will get their cases in December, as planned before! Over the next few days, I'll be filling out the FAQ, and as always, you can regularly expect an update from me every 7-10 days :)
